Storage shelves are a general term, and there are many types, such as beam shelves, attic shelves, drive-in shelves and so on. Different types of shelves can also be subdivided into a variety of shelves. Take shuttle car shelves as an example, which can be divided into two-way shuttle car shelves, four-way shuttle car shelves, multi-layer search car shelves and mother-child shuttle car shelves. What are the differences between two-way shuttle racks and four-way shuttle racks?

The two-way shuttle rack means that the shuttle can only travel back and forth in two directions, only forward or backward. The four-way shuttle car rack, that is, can drive in four directions, that is, there is no problem in the front, rear, left and right directions. The two-way shuttle racks and four-way shuttle racks produced by rack manufacturers are quite different in the traveling direction of goods handling.

Secondly, the four-way shuttle car rack is more flexible than the two-way shuttle car rack, because it can travel in four directions, and the storage and picking efficiency of goods is higher than that of the two-way shuttle car rack, which saves the operating cost of the warehouse in all aspects. This is why many companies give priority to the four-way shuttle racks of rack wholesale manufacturers.

Structurally, the two are also very different. Two-way shuttle racks are composed of shuttles, shelves and forklifts, while four-way shuttle racks can be equipped with automated equipment and warehouse management systems in addition to shuttles, racks, and forklifts to achieve real automated storage. Therefore, the cost of the four-way shuttle rack is much higher than that of the two-way shuttle rack.
